At Turnbull Grain & Seed, we are a team of field agronomists focused on providing the best advice and service for our customers in the South Canterbury and Mackenzie regions.

Our Story

Established in August 2015, Turnbull Grain & Seed boasts a rich legacy in the grain and seed sector of South Canterbury. Our roots trace back over 130 years, marked by our earliest ventures into cereal trading.

Whilst parent company D. C. Turnbull & Co Ltd holds the majority of shares, we’re not alone in this journey. Murray Duff and Hamish Holland are also proud stakeholders.

Since our inception, we’ve been dedicated to cultivating a strong reputation based on expert guidance and exceptional client service.

Turnbull Grain and Seed is run as an independent seed company, sourcing the best chemicals and seeds for our clients. With a seed mixing facility in Timaru, we are well set up for custom seed mixes.

In 2019, we expanded the business by purchasing a site in Fairlie. This seed store boasts a dressing plant, seed mixing capabilities and a chemical store. We are excellently positioned to cater to the needs of the Fairlie and Mackenzie areas.
